The Critical Mass and the Common Good

de bene esse: literally, of well-being, morally acceptable but subject to future validation or exception

The critical mass, tipping point, an idea whose time has come, minds met and manifested are all made true in history.   All things are possible once we accept them.  Social issues that befuddle are set in stone to those who do not know history and doubt the possibility of change ... if only we believe.  Martin Luther King in his letter from a Birmingham jail singled out those who privately agree but publicly fail to act for a worthy cause, the cause then, the civil rights movement.  The causes today; homosexual civil liberties,  religious bigotry aimed at Islam, the requirement for right thinking when greed has wrought global economic misery...all these and more.  The world craves our recognition of the common good.
