A 2,000 year old structure collapsed in the ancient Roman city, Pompeii. The 430 sq. ft. room near the amphitheatre, was used for traning by the Gadiators and called by its Latin name - Schola Armaturarum Juventis Pompeiani.

Very sad that this beautiful ancient city is not given the care that it should...It is an amazing look back into the past and as you walk through Pompeii you can imagine how interesting and beautiful the city was in it's time... when I visited Pompeii and the Colosseum in Rome in 2000 the tour guide told us that the pollution in the city was one of the main causes for the deterioration of the ancient buildings. Sad that 10 years later these issues are still ongoing and they are not able to properly preserve and care for such important an important part of history.
