Who knew ... pop music groups Boney M and Milli Vanilli are connected!?
They share the same German producer, Frank Farian.
Boney M was hugely popular in the 1970s and 80s - the sole male member Bobby Farrell was found dead in his Russian hotel room recently. Although he performed live with the pop group, he lip synched on stage while Farian sang the male parts in studio. A curious case since lip synching was the scandal that destroyed Milli Vanilli when Farian repeated his hoax years later.
Boney M had a hit titled Rasputin about the noted historic Russian, Grigori Rasputin, whose body was discovered on the same day in history that Farrell's body was found in his St. Petersburg's hotel room.
Quite a few connections I say.
