British artist Richard Hamilton is hailed as the father of pop art and the inspiration of Andy Warhol and Joseph Beuys in the 1960s. His famous collages include his most famous work, the 1956 'Just what is it that makes today's homes so different, so appealing?' that select historians recognize as the beginning of the pop art movement.
Forever associated with the swinging sixties, he designed the Beatles, 'White Album' - a plain white sleeve with the band's name embossed on it.
