We know Wallis Simpson was a history maker in dubious ways and indeed was she an icon of fashion.  Unbeautiful by her own standard she cloaked herself in all that was lovely and fashionable.

Like myself she was a lover of costume jewelry, "I hate to admit it but I am absolutley fascinated by fake jewelry, I think it is so good." and concur I do. As late in her life as the 1970s she embraced hippy chic, imagine the fun she would have had in design had she lived in later times.
