Cats were revered for their ability to catch rodents and their apparent sixth sense.They were often associated with a goddess in the tradition, as well. In Medieval Christianity, cats were believed to be connected to the devil. After mass cat killings, rodent populations increased, which contributed to the spread of the Bubonic plague. Is your cat an angel? A devil? A bit of both?
