de bene esse: literally, of well-being, morally acceptable but subject to future validation or exception
Norma Talmadge!
Norma Talmadge (May 2, 1894 – December 24, 1957), American actress and film producer of the silent era and major box office draw for more than a decade. Her career peaked in the early 1920s, among the most popular idols of American screen.
Talmadge was an elegant and glamorous film star of the roaring twenties but at the end of the silent film era, her popularity with audiences waned. After two talkies proved disappointing at the box office, she retired a wealthy woman. Although little remembered, in her day she was hugely popular and the epitome of stardom.
