Chawton
House in Hampshire, an Elizabethan manor house, once belonged to
Jane Austen's brother, Edward. The home has been in the Knight family
for over 400 years and today operates as The Centre for the Study of
Early English Women's Writing, 1600-1830 and incorporates a specialist
