INTERNATIONAL DAY OF REMEMBRANCE OF THE VICTIMS OF SLAVERY AND THE TAST

de bene esse: literally, of well-being, morally acceptable but subject to future validation or exception

The United Nations has declared - March 25 - as "INTERNATIONAL DAY OF REMEMBRANCE OF THE VICTIMS OF SLAVERY AND THE TRANSATLANTIC SLAVE TRADE."

sketches from the award-winning film "Akwantu: the Journey," artist depiction of an enslaved African being branded. Though they were captured, mentally they were forever free. The "magnificent drama" that would play out in the hinterlands, in the dungeons and on the slave ships reached a crescendo in the rugged mountains of Jamaica where a band of poorly armed Africans fought heroically to maintain their freedom. Akwantu salute the heroes of the revolution.
