BKLYNR's Thomas Rhiel put together this interactive map of Brooklyn by using Department of City Planning resources to plot all 320,000 (give or take) of the borough's buildings and shade each one according to the year it was built. It's pretty incredible. You can scroll over each individual building to see when it was constructed, or you can take a wider look and see how new development has swept through parts of the borough, bypassing others. Or you can pick out the oldest buildings, look them up, and realize that they're all churches. No matter what you do with this map, it's pretty cool.
