Chantal Veron

Chantal Veron fell in love with Afghanistan as a schoolgirl in France in the 1960s. As soon as she could afford it, she travelled there. That was 1976, and it's a connection which has never been broken. Chantal is a teacher, and when the Taliban took over in 1996, she started an organisation called Negar to provide education and support for girls and women. She now divides her life between France and the Panjshir Valley!
