ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME

An epic drama capturing the twists, plots and rivalries that dominate the 15th-century Spanish royal court as a young woman battles to become queen. Isabel and her brother Alfonso are happily ensconced with their mother, Elizabeth of Portugal, only for their lives to be turned upside down when their half-brother King Henry IV forces them into the hostile environment of the court.
