Jim Crow Justice: Revolutionary Leader Faya Rose Toure Arrested, Refuses Bail In Protest Of Memorial For Ku Klux Klan’s Founding Leader

Many of you are familiar with revolutionary leader and freedom fighter Faya Rose Toure. She has been locked in battle with the city of Selma, Alabama who is moving forward with plans to construct a statue to honor of domestic terrorist, Nathan Bedford Forrest -- the founding Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan.

Toure was reportedly arrested on Monday during a Selma City Council meeting after not being allowed to speak about the Bedford monument.

She has refused to post bail to protest the city's plan to move forward with the monument and remains in jail.
