George Reeves

de bene esse: literally, of well-being, morally acceptable but subject to future validation or exception

The actor, best known for playing Superman and Clark Kent in the classic 1950's TV series, "Adventures of Superman," was born on this date 100 years ago.
Reeves appeared in several movies before the TV series including "Gone With the Wind" and 1943's "So Proudly We Hail! His death at his home of a gunshot wound to his head in 1959 was listed as a suicide but controversy still surrounds his death because of his love affair with the wife of a executive E.J. Mannix.
