Joan Crawford on TCM

de bene esse: literally, of well-being, morally acceptable but subject to future validation or exception

Joan Crawford is TCM's "Star of the Month" and the Crawford fest begins Thursday at 5 p.m. Pacific and 8 p.m.
Easter with Tod Browning's deliciously creepy 1927 "The Unknown" with Lon Chaney, followed by 1928's "Our Dancing Daughters." Next up is 1929's "Our Modern Maidens" followed by 1930's "Our Blushing Brides." She also is the uncredited body double of Norma Shearer in 1925's "Lady of the Night." Then the 1926 William Wellman comedy "The Boob," followed by 1927's "Spring Fever." The programming concludes with 1928's "Across to Singapore."
