The USS Westfield

de bene esse: literally, of well-being, morally acceptable but subject to future validation or exception

Artifacts from the USS Westfield, a Staten Island Ferry boat-turned-Civil War ship that blew up on New Year's Day 1863, were excavated in 2009, restored over the past five years, and will go on display this year at the Texas City Museum.
