Kitty Kramer, the first Kodak Girl

de bene esse: literally, of well-being, morally acceptable but subject to future validation or exception
"In the mid-1880s George Eastman told J. Walther Thompson that "a picture of a pretty girl sells more than a tree or a house" in magazine advertisements. Eastman's idea was a girl in a striped dress, fashionably holding a camera, and thus the Kodak girl was born.

Kodak's first camera came out in 1888. This is Kitty Kramer, the first Kodak Girl, shown using a Kodak camera in 1890.
