RIP William "Bunny Rugs" Clarke

de bene esse: literally, of well-being, morally acceptable but subject to future validation or exception

You meet a lot of people in this business. Some you say,"Hi." Some just associates. Some become real friends. People that take you under their wings, and genuinely give you advice from their experience, for you as a person, and the betterment of our music, to strive and succeed. Third World is one of them. From the first day we met, at the Crystal Palace football stadium in London, in the 80's - Wow! I never played in front of so many people. The adrenaline, heart pumping, so many big names of artists, bands from Jamaica, and around the world. My world was just changing. The motivation in the conversations with Third World, will never be forgotten. The fact that we only just met, from that day, the closeness, the bond, the protection, and guidance I got from them, is something that I will treasure for life. I, we have lost a true pioneer. A legend. One of Jamaica's finest vocalists "HARD" to compare. A family man. A family man to this business. This brings tears to my eyes. I can't help myself. The Bible says, "Rejoice" but I truly feel pain. My friend Bunny Rugs passed away last night, and as I wake this morning, I reflect on past memories. Long live a King. Rastafari Bunny Rugs. William "Bunny Rugs" Clarke February 6, 1948 - February 2, 2014 Bless Maxi Priest
