The bones of our ancestors

The bulldozer would go on to expose the bones of an unknown number of people, likely African slaves, who lived and died on the La Ressource sugar estate, near San Fernando in the 1800s.

The bones were exposed two weeks ago. People who care about the country's history have been outraged by the desecration.
