Elizabeth I

de bene esse: literally, of well-being, morally acceptable but subject to future validation or exception

This day in 1533, a baby girl was born to Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn. Her birth announcement, was corrected (3rd line, center) to read "princess" instead of "prince."
The joust scheduled for that day, to celebrate the birth of a male heir to the throne, was cancelled.
That baby girl grew up to be Elizabeth I.
