Descendants of a lost Roman legion?

Green eyes and blond hair too, accompany the western features of Chinese people in the village of Liqian. DNA now shows that most are of Caucasian origin.

The legend of general Marcus Crassus and his missing legion holds that in 53BC after Crassus was defeated and beheaded by the Parthians that 145 Romans were captured and wandered the region thereafter.  Archeologists have unearthed a 6ft tomb suggesting a Roman legionnaire was buried there.

Others are satisfied to leave this story where it lay, as a legend.
