If this is true.  More proof of curriculums dedicated to the proliferation of the ignorant educated.  History, a much derided subject has within it an infinitum of advantages for a thinking society.  In social discussions on pressing human issues - capital punishment, child abuse, maternity leave, environmental neglect, on and on - I have noticed, while throwing their arms in the air, folks lament, what can we do about it anyway? History teaches us that the most dramatic of issues have been solved, compromised or re-aligned for the benefit of social upliftment and we therefore CAN do something about it!


History opens the intellect.  History teaches us about each other.  History teaches us about the development of world society and saves us from clinging to anecdotal suspicions that breathe and breed hatred in our world.


History should be taught to every child on earth.  History is indispensable.
