NY, NY

de bene esse: literally, of well-being, morally acceptable but subject to future validation or exception

1940s Big Apple Golden Age

Sports, finance, music, art ...  the American supernova emerged post World War II and NYC became the world capital.

A wonder to see Penn Station in 1943.  Thank goodness Grand Central Terminal was spared destruction by those who fail to honour history's bestowal; although the Third Avenue elevated train is no more.

Dodgers, Giants and Yankees glory .... Belmont Race Track, Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, Brooklyn Bridge, Ellis Island, the Plaza Hotel, yellow cabs and more are forever landmarks of NY lore.

I don't know about you and I've said it before, pictures such as these transport me to the life and times captured therein.
