The great debate - are we alone in the universe or do other planets host beings similar to or vastly different than us and our fellow animal folk?  Because I never forget to lovingly include my furry friends.

It is surmised in 2012 we will have 2 suns - Betelgeuse, one of Earth's brightest night stars is losing mass and could collapse which may lead to us seeing a second sun.  Could this scenario represent the Mayan foretelling of the end they predicted in 2012?
