King Herrod the hated

de bene esse: literally, of well-being, morally acceptable but subject to future validation or exception

Herodian, Herrod's final resting place South of Jerusalem entombs the distinctly disgraceful tyrant of the Kingdom of Judea (todays Jerusalem and Southern Israel) in 37BC - 4BC.  His ruthless supression and paranoia were fed by his fear of dissent.

So familiar and timely especially in that region ... do we think? Yes indeed.

Family members and loved ones were not exempt from his monstrous executions.  He ruled by consent of Roman Emperors and mimicked their practices including public execution.
