An advocate at heart I am especially impressed by causes that are championed by those indirectly or not at all affected by an issue but who know it is the right thing to do.
And for us women it all started with the courageous Suffragettes - women have been strong in the background of every historic event and few know that they laid the framework for the civil rights movement helmed by Martin Luther King by building grass roots chapters and prodding for change ... and then change came.
Hail to all the courageous hearts who made the steps with humanity and shifted paradigms until the new day dawned.
