In 1939 a policeman was sacked for policing a town for 25 years and made no arrests!

Harry Jackman's whistle, truncheon, handcuffs and the front page of the newspaper that declared his dismissal and the near miracle of a town found to be crime free are to be autioned.  Must have been an idyllic time.
