Hadrian's Villa ...

major historic Italian treasure is mired in controversy as officials debate the location of a landfill near the complex.

Erected by Emperor Hadrian to escape the stench of Rome in the second century AD ~ 18 hundred years later the ruin risks the ravages of pollutants and waste odor from a land fill.

The complex is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Respect the history! paper peddling politi-hacks.
