Klutz Meets History

de bene esse: literally, of well-being, morally acceptable but subject to future validation or exception

Klutz Breaks 224 Year-Old Cognac Bottle

At London’s prestigious Playboy Club, a clumsy businessman caused a historic cognac (worth an estimated $77,000) to accidentally smash on the floor. The unnamed man had ordered two glasses of the 1788 Clos de Griffier Vieux, which were priced at $7,830 a glass, before asking to see the bottle. After reviewing the bottle, he got up and accidentally knocked it off the table.
