Henry Carey

de bene esse: literally, of well-being, morally acceptable but subject to future validation or exception

Henry Carey, 1st Baron Hunsdon, courtier and administrator, born on March 4th in 1526 was the only son of William Carey, courtier and favourite of Henry VIII and his wife, Mary (née Boleyn). There is controversy about his paternity because of Mary Boleyn's sexual relationship with Henry VIII at that time in the 1520s but most historians believe Henry was fathered by Carey.
