11th April 1533: On this day in history Henry VIII told his council that Anne Boleyn was now his lawful wife and should be addressed and treated as Queen. It truly must have been a triumphant day for Anne as not only was she Henry VIII’s lawful wife, she was also Queen of England and approximately four months pregnant with the future heir.
