Antiques Found in Skip

Russian owner of Portsmouth Football Club dumps 14 antique chairs from one of Britain's greatest warships in a SKIP after deciding boardroom needed a 'minimal' look

Chairs
A builder who found the oak table and chairs (left) in a skip took them on the Antiques Roadshow and was told they'd been made for HMS Warrior, (top right), in the 1860s and are worth thousands. Bosses at the club known as Pompey, which has suffered financial crisis after crisis in recent years, had turfed them out when they decided to give the club's boardroom a modern new look under then-owner Alexandre Gaydamak (bottom right).
