Archeologists unearth 'Britain's oldest northerner':

de bene esse: literally, of well-being, morally acceptable but subject to future validation or exception

10,000-year-old human leg bone is discovered in a cave

Scientists may have found the oldest known remains of a ‘northerner’.

Analysis of a leg bone fragment unearthed from a cave in Cumbria suggests it is more than 10,000 years old, making it the earliest human bone from northern Britain on record.

Up until now, researchers had only found stone tools as evidence.
