Coretta King in Jamaica ~ flashback

December 14, 1968, Mrs. Coretta King (right) widow of the late Civil Rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., when she visited Sir Alexander Bustamante and Lady Bustamante at their home in Irish Town. Lady Alexander holds a picture of the slain Civil Rights Leader which is inscribed with the words "I have a dream". Sitting at left is Mr. Laurel Bruce, the Prime Minister, the Hon. Hugh Shearer's Personal Assistant. Mrs King was on the island to receive, on behalf of her late husband, the Marcus Garvey Prize for Human Rights, which was awarded posthumously to him. - Archives
