Excavation gives gruesome glimpse of Iron Age massacre where 'thousands' were slaughtered, chopped up and dumped in mass grave
Excavations near Yeovil, Somerset, have unearthed skeletal remains including skulls (right) and fragments of bone (bottom left). The grim remains point to a brutal massacre which archaeologists say could have involved thousands of people.
