Stunning Dior photos rescued from hidden vault offer a glimpse into the glamorous world of 1950s couture

The photographs are the work of society photographer Mark Shaw who died in 1969. The images are part of a new book, Dior Glamour: 1952 - 1962, which is released next month. Along with scenes covering dress fittings and celebrities, the photographs also include rare images of Christian Dior himself, hard at work behind the scenes.
