Vintage Ads That Would Be Banned Today

de bene esse: literally, of well-being, morally acceptable but subject to future validation or exception

Advertising is a powerful force shaping attitudes and behavior  since the beginning of the 20th century when it was featured on radio, and then  television in the late 1940s. Besides being discriminating, vintage ads were full of misnomers. Interesting fact – the first American advertising to use a sexual sell was created by a woman – for a soap product.
