Walter Rodney Riot

de bene esse: literally, of well-being, morally acceptable but subject to future validation or exception

Students of the University of the West Indies break through a police cordon along Mona Road, St Andrew, in 1968. The police, armed with tear gas canisters and riot batons, are in hot pursuit. On October 16, 1968, protests erupted in Kingston as a result of the banning of Walter Rodney by the then government of Jamaica.
