Color White Has Dark Past

Ironically, before white became the symbol of wealth and cleanliness, black was a commonplace color that evoked royalty and power. For a color, white holds a lot of symbolic influence in many western cultures as emblematic of goodness and purity but its path to power is a pretty dark tale.
