The families of the victims of the Hyde Park bombing (bottom right) said they felt 'devastatingly let down' after the prosecution of convicted IRA member John Downey (left; and in court, inset) collapsed. The relatives of Household Cavalry soldiers Anthony 'Denis' Daly (top centre), Simon Tipper (top centre right), Roy Bright (top right), and Jeffrey Young said they 'never ceased in their desire to see that justice be done'. Downey, 62, of County Donegal, had received a 'letter of assurance' in 2007 when in fact there was an outstanding warrant against him.
