Annette Bening reminisces all the way back to 1990 before the intrusive ridiculousness of tabloid craziness. The winner, Whoopie Goldberg, invited her fellow nominees in the best supporting actress category to dinner - her treat. A luxury Bening said would be impossible today without lens shoved in at the table and a headline article to match.
Whoopie won the Oscar that year for her crack up role in Ghost with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore.
